JONESBOROUGH -- Kenneth Fleenor McCracken, 82, of Limestone, died Saturday at the Johnson City Medical Center, after an extended illness.
Mr. McCracken was a native of Washington County and a son of late David Harold and Amanda Fleenor McCracken.
He was a farmer and enjoyed collecting and restoring tractors. He was of the Presbyterian tradition of faith.
Survivors include his wife Cary Cobble McCracken; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Elaine and Joe Sturgill, Kingsport, Jeanie McCracken Snyder of Limestone and Suzanne and A.C. Carmichael of Knoxville; his special caregivers: Denise Mathews and James Ross; and his friends at Hardee's in Greeneville, with whom "he truly enjoyed having breakfast," his family stated.
He had a special canine friend, "Thunder."
He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold McCracken.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home in Jonesborough.
The funeral service will follow visitation in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. David Reese will officiate.
A committal service will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning in Oakland Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be J.R. Legg, Fane Presley, Brian Beckett, Guy Mathews, James Russ, and Alex Carmichael.
Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Tri-County Tractors Club.
