- Fred Thomas Kyte Sr., 80, of 3225 Lyons Ave., the husband of the late Mrs. Sarah Livingston Kyte and a native of Elizabethton, Tenn., died Friday in his home.
He lived in this area 38 years and was a retired electrician of Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a Methodist and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Bell, Mrs. Jean Moore, and Mrs. Eula Faye Franklin of Norfolk, Mrs. Hazel Turk of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Mrs. Bobbie Kinsey of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; two sons, Fred Thomas Kyte Jr. of Norfolk and Donald Lester Kyte of Richmond; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. The family will be at 8723 Granby St.
