- Mrs. "Mama" Lucy Faye Minton Moody, age 91, of 379 Linville Creek Road, Vilas, died Monday, September 28, at Watauga Medical Center.
Mrs. Moody was born December 17, 1917 in Watauga County, a daughter of the late Isaac Newton Minton and Anor Estella Isaacs Minton.
She was a retired sales clerk for Newton's Department Store and a member of Brushy Fork Baptist Church.
Mrs. Moody is survived by her husband "PaPa" Charlie Moody of the home, one son, Dean Moody and wife Mary of Vilas, two grandsons, Clifton Moody and wife Elaine, Steven Moody and wife Lisa all of Vilas, two granddaughters, Kristy Goforth and husband Mitchell of Deep Gap, Kim Moretz and husband Jon, of Creston, and seven great grandchildren, Tasha, Nathan, Seth, Gabrielle, Tabitha, Moody and Amber and Austin Amon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Clifton Eugene Moody, three sisters, Birdie Ila Harris, Ettie Arvilla Brewer and Effie Hodges, five brothers, Grady, Claude, David, Vilas and Charlie Minton.
Burial will follow in Adams Cemetery.
