- Thomas C. McKamey, age 81, of Greeneville, passed away Saturday morning at Johnson City Medical Center.
He was the owner of Sanford Brothers Manufacturing Rep. He was a member of First Christian Church, Mosheim Masonic Lodge No. 463, Kerbela Shrine Temple, and Jericho Shrine Temple.
Mr. McKamey served on the Board of Directors of Shriners Hospital for Children-Greenville.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years: Sandra McKamey; two sons: Ross A. McKamey of Greeneville and Mark L. McKamey of Myrtle Beach, SC; one sister: Frances Hamlett of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews; two grandchildren: Cindy and Wes; three great-grandchildren: Chris, Jerico, and Dalton; three great-great-grandchildren: Hudson, Lydia, and Kyland.
He was a son of the late T. I. and Ruby McKamey and was preceded in death by two brothers: Howard McKamey and J. B. McKamey.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. on Monday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. A masonic service will follow visitation at 7 o’clock in the funeral home chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Doughty-Stevens Chapel with Minister Charles Reece and Rev. Jamie Lively officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Chris Thomas, Jerico Barnes, Dalton Barnes, Cregg Moss, Don Blackburn, Gerald Hyder, Martell Bible, Allen Rothe, Gary Johnson, Rex Arrington, and Cecil Burgner.
