- Lillian Estep Lowe, age 90 of Mountain City, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021. She was a native of Johnson County and was born July 13, 1931 to the late Wilburn and Golda Estep. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delmer H. Lowe, Sr. and brother, Jay G. Estep. Survivors include her daughter, Frances Lowe Hodges and husband Gordon of Smyrna, Georgia; son, Delmer H. Lowe, Jr. and wife Beverly of Mountain City; one sister, Betty Huddleston of Butler; one brother, Hillie Estep of Atlanta, Georgia and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and previously active in the Auxiliary of Gideon’s International.
The graveside service for Lillian will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021 from the Nave Family Cemetery (Siam Rd.) with Rev. Dennis Peterson to officiate. Honorary pallbearers are Danny Huddleston, Stan Estep, Ken Estep, Donny Rankins, Bob Voorting, Scott Estep, Eric Estep, and Darian Chancellor.
