- Raymond Tolley, age 63, Unicoi, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday, July 28, 2016. He was a Carter County native and lived in North Carolina for twenty-five years before moving to Unicoi in 1964. Mr. Tolley retired from PTI Transportation where he was employed as a truck driver. He was a member of Marbleton Free Will Baptist Church.
Mr. Tolley was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie Guinn Tolley in 2014 and his son, Raymond Blake Tolley, Jr. in 1980.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his father, Blake Daniel Tolley of Johnson City; one daughter, Jennifer Haire of Myrtle Creek, OR; one brother, Bruce Tolley of Elizabethton; one sister, Phyllis Tolley of Unicoi; two grandsons: David Cigarroa and Kaleb Arrowood; three granddaughters: Autumn Arrowood, Brooklynn Arrowood and Ella Haire.
A private graveside service will be held for Mr. Tolley.
