Helen Oliver
Helen Oliver, 74, formerly of 161 Lover's Lane, Elizabethton, died Sunday, July 29, 2001, at Pine Ridge Care Center following an extended illness.
Mrs. Oliver was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late George and Harsie Lyons Brown. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Stacey Oliver, and a daughter, Nancy Mullins.
Mrs. Oliver attended Caldwell Springs Baptist Church. She was a housewife.
Survivors include two sons, Stacey Oliver Jr., Maiden, N.C., and William Oliver, Lawrenceville, Ga.; a special friend and companion for 32 years, Wallace Nelson; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Blain J. Brown, Freeport, Fla., and Robert N. Bowers, Elizabethton; and two sisters, Dixie Livingston, Cleveland, Tenn., and Sue Taylor, Toledo, Ohio. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

OLIVER -- Graveside services for Helen Oliver, 74, formerly of 161 Lover's Lane, Elizabethton, who died Sunday, July 29, 2001, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, at Caldwell Springs Cemetery, Elizabethton, with the Rev. Tim Peters officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
