- Mrs. Williams was a Unicoi County native but lived in Maryland for 48 years before moving to Swannanoa, in 1997. She was a daughter of the late Walter and Linnie Shelton Corn.
She retired from Bendix Radio Division in Maryland after 27 years of service.
Mrs. Williams was of the Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Golden Williams: two daughters, Faye Fender and Mae Oliver: and one sister Virgie Boone.
Survivors include: two sons, Earl Williams and Roger Williams, both of Baltimore: two daughters, Gale Hansen, Balitmore, and Midge Roper, Swannanoa, NC: four brother: Thomas "Mutt" Corn and Smith Hoyle, both of Flag Pond, Harry Corn, Erwin and Hartsell Hoyle, Greeneville: one sister Verta Haynes, Flag Pond: 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
