- Kate "Kitty" Wallis, age 68, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2012. Kitty was born on January 27, 1944 in McDowell County, West Virginia. Kitty was a long-time resident of Albuquerque and Belen. Kitty was preceded in death by her son, Larry Davis; father, Glen Tweed; mother, Oda Kate Grindstaff; long-time companion, Sonja Jean Jones; younger brother, Mickey Grindstaff; sister-in-law, Theresa Grindstaff; and brother-in-law, Gary Campbell. Kitty is survived by three sisters, Bea Boswell and her husband, Don of Scottsburg, Indiana, MaryLee Campbell of Federal Way, Washington and Linda Sue Chandler and her husband, Tony of Watauga, Tennessee; two brothers, Charles Grindstaff and his wife, Wilma and Larry "Bo" Grindstaff all of Johnson City, Tennessee; seven children in her extended family; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. All Services will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel beginning with a Public Viewing on Friday, April 20th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Final Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery.
