- Mrs. Margaret Stout Reynolds, 82, of Mint Hill, NC and formerly of Elizabethton, TN, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Lake Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Cumberland, KY, to the late Madison and Cynthia Oaks Stout. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Reynolds; 2 infant brothers; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters.
Mrs. Reynolds was a lifetime member of the PTA, Carter County Home Demonstration Club, and very involved at East River Park Christian Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Minott and husband Bob Mint Hill, NC; son, Terry Reynolds and wife Becky of Ft. Mill, SC; grandchildren, Benjamin Reynolds and wife Elizabeth, Scott Reynolds and wife Gina, Hollye Sammons and husband Brian, Ashleigh Cupp and husband Brandon, Michelle Gregory, Joseph Minott and wife Katie, and Jeffrey Minott and wife Lauren; 19 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sisters, Mary Whittenbarger of Lynch, KY, and Shirley Johnson of Johnson City, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service for Mrs. Reynolds will be conducted at 7:00 PM Wednesday, June 5, 2013 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Mr. John Smith, minister, officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Wednesday.
The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 9:00 AM Thursday, June 6, 2013, in Reynolds Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Franklin Taylor, John Watkins, Woody Crowder, Jack Younce, Bill Sidebottom, John Crawford, Donald Worthington, Grady Fair, Cecil Carr, Larry Reynolds, Charles Plummer, and Jack Harris. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at 8:55 AM Thursday at the cemetery.
