- Clifford H. Smith, 95, of Unicoi, formerly of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 4, 2021. He was the son of the late Vester and Myrtle Campbell Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-son, Matthew Hodges; two brothers, Lloyd Smith and Floyd Smith; and one sister, Deloris Papantoniou.
Clifford was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and working on cars.
Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 31 years, Dimple B. Smith, of the home; one brother, Jackie Smith (Paulette) of Petersburg, Mich.; two sisters, Joyce Milan of Ida, Mich., and Geraldine Burrow of Elizabethton; and several nieces and nephews.
A service to honor the life of Clifford H. Smith will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Pastor Bobby Burrow and Pastor James Richardson officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until 1 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the funeral service. The graveside service and interment will follow the funeral service at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
