- Robert Stanley Denny, 96, Johnson City, died Friday November 9, 2012, following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Denny was a Washington County native and a resident of the Knob Creek community.
He was a son of the late Robert L. and Katherine Martin Denny.
Mr. Denny was a WWII veteran of the U.S, Army and had retired as Vice President of Warehouse Operations at Summers Hardware and Supply Company.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Mr. Denny loved to fish and spend time with his very special friends and family.
He was the oldest member of Snow Memorial Baptist Church, where he served faithfully through the years in many capacities. including Deacon, Sunday School teacher and church treasurer.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Denny was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Carathers Denny; a brother, Raphael Dean Denny; and his sister, Pauline Denny Hodge.
