- BRISTOL, Va. Harry Eugene Milligan ,73, passed away Friday, August 12, 2011, in NHC, Bristol following
several months of illness. He was born in Johnson City, Tenn. on Oct. 13, 1937, a son of the late George Washington Milligan and
Lula Dona Watkins Milligan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Raymond Milligan. He spent his
childhood in Appalachia, Va. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from shipping and maintenance at Raytheon with 23
years of service and was a member of West Hills Christian Church. Harry is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Eula Reece
Milligan; two sons, Darryl Milligan and wife, Katie, who are expecting Harry's first granddaughter, Kinzel, of Bristol, Va. and Gerald
Milligan and fiance, Misty, of Lewisville, N.C.; sister, Sarah Akers of Big Stone Gap, Va.; a number of nieces and nephews; and
half-sister, Betty Hicks of Jonesborough, Tenn. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August, 14, 2011, from 6 until 7:45 p.m.,
at Blevins Funeral and Cremati.on Services . The funeral service will follow at 8 p.m., with Dr. Gary Knapp and Pastor Todd
Crusenberry officiating. The committal service and interment will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2011, in Mountain
View Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Otis White, Jack Sorah, Ron Rogers, Jerry Wolfe, Bill Reece and Brian Akers.
