- ELIZABETHTON -- Dora Rena Carr, 99, of Route 3, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 1996, in Ivy Hall Nursing Home.
She was a native of Carter County and was a member of Bunker Hill Christian Church. She was the widow of Canie Carr.
Survivors include two sons, J. C. Carr and Ray Carr, both of Bluff City; nine daughters, Mrs. John (Gladys) Ward, Watauga, Mrs. Orville (Edith) Richards, Bluff City, Zula Carter, Beulah Buckles, Wanda Minton, Evelyn McDuffie, Ann Dula and Mrs. Robert (Ollie) Bradley, all of Elizabethton, and Lucille Brooks, Bluff City; two sisters, Ida Morris and Ollie Massingell, both of Watauga; one brother, Rudy Shipley, Watauga; 45 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
