- Marian Jane Stout, 55, of Elizabethton, went home to be with Jesus and her precious Mom and Dad whom she missed so much, on Monday, December 11, 2006, at Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Carter County, she was born in 1951 and was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Aness Guinn Stout. She was a homemaker. Mom attended Happy Valley High School and was a member of Bible Baptist Church. She had a beautiful soprano voice and sang in the Redemption Quartet. Mom was a loving Mother and Grandmother and she loved her sons and grandchildren with all her heart. She is survived by her two sons, David Presnell of Roan Mountain and Gilbert Presnell and wife April of Stoney Creek; six grandchildren, Shane and Niki of Roan Mountain, Denise, Nathan, Brooke and Danielle of Stoney Creek; three brothers and one sister and their spouses, Gary Stout and Helen of Watauga, Larry Stout and Pat of Valley Forge, Tom Stout and Vivian of Kingsport and Phyllis Grindstaff and Mac of Long Hollow. She is also survived by four nieces, four nephews, and three great-nephews whom she loved dearly. Graveside services for Mrs. Stout will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 14, in the Harrison-Presnell Cemetery, Roan Mountain, with Rev. Jim Murray and Rev. Gary Perkins officiating. We love our precious Mom so much and our hearts are broken. We will miss her every day until we can be with her again in Heaven someday.
