- Ray Arnel Bowers, 70, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 at his residence. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late John & Nettie Jenkins Bowers. He was retired from Flour City, Johnson City. He loved to fish.
Survivors include his wife: Vickie Diane Oaks Bowers. Two Children: Rebecca Stargel & husband Raffe, Murfreesboro and Brian Bowers & wife Pam, Elizabethton. Five Grandchildren. One Brother: Verl Bowers, One sister: Edith Campbell.
Graveside Service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Thursday in the Caldwell Springs Cemetery with Pastor Terry Dugger officiating. Burial will follow the service. Active Pallbearers will be: Raffe Stargel, John Markland, Billy Bowers, Cyrus Kelley, Michael Bailey and Jim Lyons.
