- Dorothy Henegar Andes, 72, 606 Florence Street, Elizabethton, died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Andes was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late George and Josie Braswell Henegar. She was also preceded in death by her
husband, Joseph Andes Jr., and by five sisters and three brothers. Mrs. Andes was of the Free Will Baptist Faith. She was a retired employee of Empire Furniture, Johnson City, and a graduate of Happy Valley High School.
Survivors include four daughters and a son-in-law, Debbie Grindstaff, Sandy and Guy Allen, Lisa Shell and Marcy Matherly, all of Elizabethton; two sons, Mike Andes and Brian Andes, both of Elizabethton; three step-
children, Larry Andes and Sharon Fisher, both of Elizabethton, and Teresa Andes, of North Carolina; two sisters, Pearl Babb, Elizabethton, and Mary Henegar, of the home; four grandchildren, Johnny Sams Jr., Kelly Allen,
Brandi Allen and Justin Shell, all of Elizabethton; a great-grandchild, Johnny Sams III, Elizabethton; and two sisters-in-law, Mable Snavely and Helen Taunton, both of Elizabethton. Three step-grandchildren, four step-
great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
ANDES -- Funeral services for Dorothy Henegar Andes, 72, 606 Florence Street, Elizabethton, who died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, May 31, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home
with the Rev. Mark Street officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at Highland Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Larry Andes, Steve Townsend, Ron Babb, Don Babb, Carl Henegar, Raymond Shell and Robert Carroll. Honorary pallbearers will
be Mike Whitson, Larry Taunton, Chuck McNew, Guy Allen, Charles Austin, Johnny Sams Sr., Roger Henegar, David Hill, Roy Perry, Jerry Perry, Terry Perry, Clarence Perry, Chris Arnett and Steve Cole.
