- Arvil Lee Cole, 74, 227 B South Hills Drive, Elizabethton, passed away Monday, October 13, 2008, in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Kelly and Lola Grindstaff Cole. He was retired from the American Water Heater. Mr. Cole served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church, Johnson City.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a step-son and a brother.
Survivors include his wife: Wife: Wilma Ingram Cole; A Son: Larry Paul Cole Sr., Elizabethton; A Step-Daughter: Debbie Bryant, Hampton; A Brother: Jerry Cole, Roan Mountain; Three Sisters: Kathleen Harrell, of Florida, and Deseray Markland and Rosa Lea Floyd, of South Carolina; Seven Grandchildren, including Jessica Davis, of California, Larry Paul Cole Jr., Elizabethton, and Joseph Culbert, Johnson City; A Sister-In-Law: Frankie Morrell, Elizabethton; A Brother-In-Law and Sister-in-law: Tommy & Mary Ingram, Elizabethton.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Funeral Chapel. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Guinn Cemetery, Simerly Creek.
Active Pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Thursday will be: John Bryant, Randy Norris, Jamie McNeil, Stevie Phillips, George Gahrmann and Jerry Phillips. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Ronnie Buckles, Eddie Ellis and Stevie Phillips, Jr. and his special friends at the church.
