- ELIZABETHTON - Shirley Claudett Stout Berry, 82, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020 in the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Homer & Margaret Young Stout. She was a retired Inspector with Procter & Gamble. Mrs. Berry was a member of Heartland Fellowship. Her hobby was fishing & camping. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Linda Stansberry and two brothers: John & Jerry R. Stout.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years: Jack Berry. Her Daughters: Martha Peterson & (Dean Burchette) and Jaqueline Reece & husband Darrell, all of Elizabethton. Four Grandchildren: Danny Peterson, Matthew Peterson, Danielle Denton and Meagan (“Summer”) Reece. Seven Great Grandchildren: Several nieces, nephews & cousins. Her longtime friend: Violet “Tiny” Bowers.
Graveside Service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2020 in Roselawn Memorial Park with Pastor Gary Carter and Pastor Marvin Slagle.
