- Florence Elizabeth Spradling Parlier, 59, of Roan Mountain, Tenn., passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at her residence. A native of Monroe County, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Annie Lucille Lakey Spradling. Florence worked in the dietary department at Ivy Hall Nursing Home and was a member of Sunset Freewill Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family and working in her flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Coy Parlier, and a brother, Pryor Eugene Spradling.
Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Pamela Holtsclaw and husband Robbie; grandchildren, Alex Parlier, Tiffany Parlier and Candace Parlier; and siblings, Mary Lockamy, Luther Spradling, Mae Kerley, James Spradling, Annie Keller, Clifford Spradling, Dorothy Parlier, Joyce Good and Roger Spradling.
A service to honor the life of Florence Elizabeth Spradling Parlier will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, September 28, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Phillip Coffey and Rev. Terry Richardson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, prior to the funeral service, or at the residence at any time. The graveside service and interment will follow the funeral service on Saturday, September 28, in the Largent Cemetery, Roan Mountain, Tenn. Active pallbearers will be Robbie Holtsclaw, Seth Coffey, Keith Campbell, Willis Kerley, Isaiah Coffey and Joshua Coffey.
