THOMAS NELSON HAWKINS
Funeral services for Thomas Nelson Hawkins, 82, caretaker at the Junior High School for the past six years, who died Friday morning, will be held from the Church of God in the Arney Addition at 1:30 o'clock this afternoon. Rev. R. E. Worley and Rev. F. R. Harrowood will officiate. Burial will be made at Maymead Cemetery in Johnson County, home of Mr. Hawkins.
Survivors are five sons, John Hawkins, Palouse, Wash.; Paul, James, Ralph, Geoffrey Hawkins, Elizabethton; one stepson, Harmon Shell, Elizabethton; four daughters, Mrs. W. M. Harvey, Bigen, Wash.; Mrs. S. L. Huggins, Palous, Wash.; Mrs. C. L. Poarch, Elizabethton; Miss Rose Smith, Sopake, Wash.; fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Elbert Hawkins, Johnson County; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Willis and Mrs. Ellen Gregg, Johnson County.
All of Thomas Nelson Hawkins' children moved to Washington state following the death of their mother.
