  Notes	Mrs. Katie Lyons, 79, died at her home, Route 2, Roan Mountain, Wednesday at 3:15 p. m. after a week's illiness. She was a life long resident of Carter County and a member of Little Mountain Baptist Church. She is survived by four sons J.B. Lyons, Mack Lyons, and Dewey Lyons, all of Roan Mountain, and J.Q. Lyons of Elizabethton, and one daughter Mrs. Pearl Cornett of Roan Mountain; one sister Caroline wilson, thirty-five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be condueted Friday afternoon at 2:oo o'clock from the Little Mountain Chapel Church with the Rev. Cleve Whitehead officiating. Burial will be in the Lacey Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Grant, Carl, and Dave Whitehead, Dewey Hill, and Paul Johnson, Burl Ingram and Charles Garland. The Body was removed to the home this morning from the chapel of the Tetrick Funeral Home. She was the wife of George Washington Lyons and the mother of Rosa Nell Lyons, she was a Mid-Wife.
