- JONESBOROUGH - Jeanetta Nancy (Osborne) Arwood, age 78, of Jonesborough, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019.
A native of Unicoi, Jeanetta is a daughter of the late Alonzo Milton and Goldie Mae (Hodges) Osborne. She was a member of Erwin First Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was active in the Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and traveling. She also loved her grandchildren and Christmas. In addition to her parents, Jeanetta is preceded in death by her grandson: Ian Conner Arwood; brothers: Ivan Osborne and Willard Osborne; and sister: Marie Bryant.
Jeanetta Nancy (Osborne) Arwood leaves behind to cherish her memory: Husband of 62 years: Carl Edward Arwood; Sons: Kim Arwood and wife, ReneƩ, Dana Arwood and wife, Sara; Daughter: Sherry Tilson and husband, Wayne; Sisters: Shirley Street, Virginia Jenkins; Brothers: Carrick "Tick" Osborne and wife, Gladys, Dale Osborne and wife, Sue; Grandchildren: Kelly Bell and husband, David, Brandon Arwood, Jason Tipton and wife, Katie, Daniel Tipton, Casey Arwood, Bri Arwood, Blake Arwood, Keith Arwood, Great-grandchildren: Dakoda Bell, Kameron Bell, Karson Bell, Trent Tipton; Sister-in-law: Eloise Lafollette; Brother-in-law: Jerry Arwood; Several nieces, nephews and also some very special friends.
The family would like to offer special thanks to Pastor Charles Byrd, the staff of Center on Aging and Health and the staff of Amedisys Hospice for their loving care.
The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Jeanetta Nancy (Osborne) Arwood in a funeral service to be held at 7:00 pm, Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Erwin First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Reverend James Dunn and Pastor Charles Byrd will officiate. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 5:00 pm on Thursday, December 26, 2019 and will continue until service time at Erwin First Pentecostal Holiness Church. A committal service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 27, 2019, in the mausoleum chapel at Evergreen Cemetery.
