- Mr. Jack Dana Guy, 79, of Jonas Ridge, and formerly of the Beech Creek community, died Tuesday evening, June 17, 2008 at Cannon Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 21, 1928 in Avery County, a son of the late Thomas "Tom" and Nora Phillips Guy.
Mr. Guy was the owner of Guy's Folk Toys and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving is one sister, Marie Guy Greene of Elk Park; and a number of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Guy Hicks; and one brother, Ray Guy.
Services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Bill Warren. Burial will follow in the Ward Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
