- Ruth Buchanan Hoilman, age 93, of Whitaker Branch Road in Newland, died Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Heritage of Sugar Mountain.
Born on July 28, 1922 in Avery County, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Dovie Davis Buchanan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Hoilman who passed away in 1988. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memories are sons; Herbert Hoilman and wife, Bennie of Roan Mountain, TN; Lambert Hoilman of Spruce Pine; Ivan Hoilman and wife, Kathy of Newland and Russell Hoilman and wife, Gail of Newland; her daughter; Evelyn Hoilman of Newland.
The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service honoring the life of Ruth Hoilman on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 12:00 pm at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Alan Laws officiating. A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Monday, March 14, 2016 from 11:00 am until the service hour at the church. Interment will follow in the Whitaker Branch Cemetery.
