- JOHNSON CITY - Charles Edward Bogart, 85 of Johnson City, died Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at his home. Ed was a native of Johnson City, son of the late Isaac Raymond and Gertrude McKinney Bogart.
He was a retired Quality Engineer for Electrolux after 25 years service, prior to that he worked as a Quality Engineer for Raytheon.
Ed loved his family and had a passion for golf. When his wife was living they loved travel and square dancing.

In addition to his parents, his wife, Shirley Jean Sluder Bogart (2018), a son, Bryon, a brother, Raymond, Jr. and a sister Louise Willis all preceded him in death.
Survivors include; his son and daughter-in-law, Charles Edward Bogart, Jr. and Kris; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Bogart; a brother, Robert and wife, Taunja Bogart; a sister, Nancy and husband Larry Hale; five grandchildren, Trey, Alli, Amber, Whitney and Weston; five great grandchildren, Ian, Harrison, Adalind, Hadleigh and Cooper ; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Dogwood Chapel of Morris-Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Chaplain Steven Spell and Dr. Reggie Weems. A committal service will follow in Monte Vista Memorial Park at 3:00 pm. A procession to the cemetery will leave at 2:45 pm. Active pallbearers will be: Larry Hale, Justin Johnson, Weston Bogart, Trey Bogart, Bryan James, Jim Cooper, Perry Henson, Jalen Birdwell and Brad Bacon.
