- ELIZABETHTON - Jerlean Carr Peters, age 71, of Elizabethton, Tennessee, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Monday, September 30, 2019 from her residence, following a long battle of sickness.
Jerlean was born in Carter County to the late Wesley and Beatrice Ellis Carr.
Jerlean was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was employed at Kennemetal from 1996 to 2006 and loved anything to do with being outdoors- fishing, gardening and spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Dahl Peters, of the home; her children, Lisa Mintz and husband Harry, of Myrtle Beach, SC, Angela Peters, of Kingsport, TN and Jonathan Peters, of the home; her grandchildren, Benjamin Mintz and Samuel Mintz; and one sister, Joyce Davis, of Elizabethton, TN.
A service to celebrate the life of Jerlean Carr Peters will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Friday, October 4, 2019 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Pastor Kenneth Jordan, officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Friday.
The graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 5, 2019 in the Blevins Cemetery in Stoney Creek. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
