- Ted R. Dugger, 71, of Johnson City, went to be with the Lord on March 31, 2008. He was a native of Carter County but lived most of his life in Washington County, TN. He was the son of the late Amanda and Roseman Dugger.
Mr. Dugger was a member of "Y" Freewill Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served his country in Korea and Germany.
He was a very loving husband and father who loved his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joyce Dugger; one daughter, Sharon Dugger Hughes and husband Jamie of Johnson City; two sons, Keith Dugger and wife Terri of Jonesborough and Jeffrey Dugger of Johnson City; three grandchildren: Caleb and Colby Dugger and Joshua Dugger.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday at 8:00 PM at Tetrick Funeral Services with Rev. Glenn Hoilman officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM prior to the service. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM in Fairview Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Leroy Arrwood, Jerry Perry, Timmy Edwards, Lonnie Townsend, Earnest Trivette, Jr., and Donnie Bare. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Whiston, Gene Woodfin, Grady Norton, Jim Smith, Jimmy Bailey, Charles Henson and members of "Y" Freewill Baptist Church. Everyone is asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 AM to go in procession.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Janette and Rev. Glenn Hoilman for all their love and kindness. Also, thank you to all of his friends and family for their love and prayers.
