- Beatrice Young Gouge, age 80 of Hwy 226 Bakersville, NC passed away, June 11, 2005 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Edd and Hulda Freeman Young, and a Native of Mitchell County, NC. She was a member of Cub Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include; husband Bill W. Gouge, of the home, daughter, Karen Greene, and husband Paul, of Bakersville, NC, son, Royce Gouge, and wife Debbie, of Clemmons, and one sister, Jessie Lee Tipton, of Green Mountain, NC, three grandchildren, Kevin Gouge, Nathan Greene, and Mitzie Reed, six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by; daughter, Kathleen Garland, and one brother, Delaney Young.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 13, at 8:00, in the chapel of Henline – Hughes Funeral Home with Clifford Willis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be Tuesday, June 14 at 11:00 at Malone Gouge Cemetery.
