- ELIZABETHTON - Iva Lee Banks Malone, 84, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019 at her residence.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Walter Banks, Sr. & Bunia Blevins Banks. She was home health nurse. Iva Lee enjoyed working in her flowers, her dogs Charlie & Molly and loved to travel. She was a member of Rittertown Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband: Luther Caldwell, her second husband: Gleason Malone, Sr., her son: Gleason Malone, Jr., two sisters: Jeanette Webb and Georgia Phillips and two brothers: Jay Banks and Harvey Banks.
Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law: Ronnie & Judy Caldwell. Three Grandchildren: Bridgett Caldwell Simpson, Jackie Caldwell and David Church. Five Great Grandchildren and One Great Great Grandson. Two Brothers: Nelse Banks & Wife Trudy and Walter Banks, Jr.. Four Sisters: Bonnie Bowman, Jenny Wiseman, Beatrice Holtsclaw and Maybelle Birchfield. Several nieces & nephews.
Graveside Service will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2019 in the Rittertown Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Smitley officiating. Burial will follow the service. Active Pallbearers will be: E.J. Blevins, Terry Blevins, Robert Blevins, Dexter Perkins, Shane Kimley and Kenny Childress. The family would like to express a special "Thank You" to E.J. Blevins, Oscar Thompson, Janie Guinn, Nancy Herman and members of the Lynn Valley Baptist Church for all their support and prayers.
