- Linda Fisher Yelton, age 69, of Wildlife Road in Nebo, died Sunday, May 12, 2019, at the Brian Center Health & Rehab in Spruce Pine.
Born on Nov. 9, 1949, in Avery County, she was the daughter of the late Joe Fisher and Nellie Carpenter, who still survives. She was also preceded in death by her Husband: Dennis Yelton, who passed away in 2015; and by her Son: Keith Yelton, who passed away in 2016.
Linda enjoyed crafts of all kinds, as well as being outdoors, her flowers, traveling and being with her family and friends. She also enjoyed the Christmas season and decorating for Christmas.
Left to cherish her memories are her Mother: Nellie C. Fisher of Spruce Pine; her Sisters: Lorene Cuthbertson of Crossnore, Lillian Hughes and Leona Pendley, both of Spruce Pine; her Brothers: Leonard Fisher and wife, Doris, of Spruce Pine and Lloyd Fisher and wife, Rosie, of Spruce Pine; her Grandson: Kayden Yelton of Morganton; her Best Friend: Margaret Watkins of Marion; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Linda Yelton was held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2019, in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home, with Dr. Darrin Waldroup and Rev. G.B. Garland officiating. A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends occurred from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2019, in the funeral home chapel. Interment took place in the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
