- Mr. Millard M. Trivett, of Vilas, North Carolina, died at Watauga Medical Center. Mr. Trivett was born August 22, 1930 in Johnson County, Tennessee, a son of the late George Calvin Trivett and June Harmon Trivett. He served in the United States Army during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and retired after 21 years of service. After returning from the military, he was an employee for Yates Electric Company for 5 years, then joining Hodges (Klink) Moving and Storage for 21 years. Mr. Trivett was a member and former treasurer of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church for 27 years. Mr. Trivett is survived by his wife, Ella Mae Anderson Trivett of the home; two sons, Robert "Bob" Trivett and wife Janet of Zionville, and James Trivett and wife Libby of Vilas; three granddaughters, Nancy Isaacs and husband Travis of Vilas, Bobbie Sue Hood of Zionville, and Emily Trivett of Zionville; two grandsons, Kevin Trivett and wife Jennifer of Vilas, and Robert Dale Trivett and wife Amy of Boone; two sisters, Geraldine Ward and husband Bob of Valle Crucis, and Ava Trivett of Boone, and two brothers, Bill Trivett and wife Peggy of Boone, and G.C. Trivett and wife Karen of Lenoir. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, two aunts, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Wilma Jean Greene Trivett.
