- Celia Mae Dugger, 77, 121 Alvin Dugger Road, Butler, died Tuesday, October 1, 2002, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness.
Mrs. Dugger was a native of Avery County, N.C., and the daughter of the late Robert and Cordelia Cook Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Dugger, a son, Allen Dugger, two sisters, Laura Grubbs and Virgie Elkens, and two brothers, Wheeler Church and Joseph Church.
Mrs. Dugger was a member of Beech Mountain Free Will Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Joann Dugger and Irene Dugger, both of the home; six sons, Harold Dugger, Jerry Dugger, Danny Dugger and Kevin Dugger, all of Butler, Steve Dugger and Charles Dugger, both of Elizabethton; three sisters, Francis Peters, Roberta Potter and Arvella Davis, all of Elizabethton; and three brothers, Chester Church, Connellys Springs, N.C., Searl Church, Elizabethton, and Kenneth Church, Hampton. Fifteen grandchildren, one great-grandson and several nieces and nephews also survive.

DUGGER -- Funeral services for Celia Mae Dugger, 77, 121 Alvin Dugger Road, Butler, who died Tuesday, October 1, 2002, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, October 4, at Piney Grove Church of Christ with Mr. Dean Estep, minister, officiating. Music will be under the direction of the Piney Grove Church of Christ Choir. Interment will follow the funeral service at Piney Grove Church of Christ Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Piney Grove Church of Christ.
