- Glen Ensor, 85, of Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019, at the residence of his daughter after a brief illness.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late John and Mary Kress Ensor.
Glen served in the United States Army and was a retired employee of Inland Container after 36 years of service. He was an active member of Dungan Chapel Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Velma Davis, Ida Conley, Ella Mae Bishop and Moilee Lewis, and three brothers, Ivan Ensor, Robert Ensor and Elbert Kress.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Pauline Wilson Ensor; a daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Mick Kyte, Blountville; one granddaughter, Taylor Elizabeth Kyte; one sister, Jesselene Ensor; two brothers, Aubrey and Denny Ensor; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Glen Ensor will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Eric Heaton officiating. The graveside service and interment will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 16, in the Wilson Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be his church family, former employees of Inland Container and his special friend, Hope Pearson.
