- BEDFORD, Texas — Frederick Earl VanHuss, a resident of Bedford for 32 years, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2005, at the age of 72. Fred graduated from Tri- State College with a degree in mechanical engineering. He worked in that field for over 40 years. He served in Germany during the later years of the Korean war and was awarded marksmanship awards. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Hazel R. VanHuss. Survivors include his children, Debbie Long, Patty Suarez, Donna Wrachford and Rick VanHuss, all of Arlington, and Steve VanHuss, Seattle, Wash. Eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. Services will be held in Tennessee.
