- JONESBOROUGH - Edna Luella "Mamaw" Murr Lowe, 86, of Jonesborough went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Lakebridge Health Care. She was a native of Telford and daughter of the late Clyde Dean and Goldie Crumley Murr.
In addition to her parents, Mamaw was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Howard Dean Lowe, and her sister, Reta Dugger.
Mamaw was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. She was a member of the Jonesboro Rescue Squad Crewettes for 26 years. Mamaw was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her family and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Those left to cherish Mamaw's memory include her daughter, Brenda Sue Reece and her husband Keith, son, Michael Dean Lowe, grandchildren: Stevie Lowe and his wife Krista, Angela Shelton and her husband Adam, Kelly Coppock, and Brandy Story and her husband Jamie; great-grandchildren: Jacob Lowe, Andrew Lowe, and Samuel Shelton, Alyssa Shelton; sister, Emma Sue Pate Payne, several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to the entire staff at Lakebridge Health Care especially Station 2 for the loving care provided to Mamaw during her stay there.
The family will greet friends to share memories beginning at 5:00 pm on Friday, February 1, 2019 until a Celebration of Mamaw's life at 7:00 pm in the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City with Pastor Jerry Powers officiating. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday at Fairview Cemetery in Jonesborough. Active pallbearers will be Stevie Lowe, Van Mominee, Buddy Coppock, Jim Baines, Charles Baines, and Adam Shelton.
