- Virginia Pearl Buckles Harmon Perry, age 91, of Bluff City, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, from her home. She was born in Sullivan County, a daughter of the late James William "Toy" and Myrtle Grace Bullock Buckles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Lynn William Harmon, Sr.; second husband, W.I. Perry; nine siblings; son, Lynn William Harmon, Jr.; grandson, Mickey Harmon; and great grandson, William Joseph Chatman.
She was a seamstress and a member of First Christian Church of Bluff City.
Survivors include her daughters, Lois J. White of Elizabethton, Linda L. Chatman and husband Clifford of Bristol, TN, and Earlene F. Strouth and husband Stan of Bluff City; son, James W. Harmon of Bluff City; daughter-in-law, Shelia Harmon; step daughter, Retha Goff and husband Dennis; step son, Thad Perry and wife Vicki; sisters-in-law, Beverly Buckles and Willetta Harmon Mircale; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 Friday evening, October 26, 2012 at Tetrick Funeral Home, Bluff City, with Mr. Ron Whitacre, Minister, officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:45 prior to the service.
The committal service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 Saturday morning, October 27, 2012, in Morning View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of First Christian Church of Bluff City.
