- He was preceded in death by his wife, Olive Rhea Davis Cole on February 24, 2003. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Burley Cole and Harry Cole, and by two sisters, Margaret Click and Mabel Reynolds Owens.
Mr. Cole was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elizabethton and the Fellowship Sunday School Class.
Mr. Cole was also a member of the Dashiell Masonic Lodge #238 F&AM.
He was a retired Route Delivery Salesman having worked for Carrier's Bakery, Larkin Bakery, Southern Bakery and Sunbeam Bakery.
The funeral service was conducted at 6 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2004 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway Percy Funeral Home.
The graveside service and interment were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2004 in Happy Valley Memorial Park.
