- Roger Earnest Trivette, 83, of 3470 Laurel Creek Road, Banner Elk, died Nov. 14, at Life Care Center in Banner Elk.
He was born May 1, 1913, in the Rominger community of Watauga County. He was a retired farmer and a member of Piney Grove United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alice Hicks Trivette; six sons, Jerry Trivette and Mary Ann of Banner Elk, Chester Trivette and wife, Peggy, of Bluff City, Tenn., Bobby Trivette and wife, Barbara, and Thomas Trivette and wife, Linda, all of Lexington, Bill Trivette and wife, Eula of Vilas and James Trivette and wife, Bonnie, of Trinity; two brothers, Orvis Trivette of Newton and Harvey Trivette of Boone; three sisters, Mrs. Gertie Sherrill and Mrs. Lilly Beaver, both of Granite Falls and Mrs. Blanche Williams of Goldsboro. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lori Ann Trivette; a brother, Lemmie Trivette and two sisters, Mrs. Lola Sue Warren and Mrs. Fairy Holman.
Funeral service held at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Richard Trivette and Rev. Delmar James. Burial in the Piney Grove Methodist Church Cemetery.
