- JOHNSON CITY - Bradley Gouge left this world to be with his heavenly Father on Thursday, September 27th 2018.
He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and lived in Johnson City, TN for more than 40 years. He was a devoted Christian and a member of Embreeville Church of Christ. He was the son of the late Ed and Sally Gouge.
He was a hard-working and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who spent countless hours in the fields tending cattle and crops even through retirement. Bradley leaves behind a legacy of deep love, strong faith, and cherished family.
Bradley was preceded in death by his dear wife of 69 years, Charlene Gouge, his loving son Eddie Gouge, brother Farrell Gouge, and sisters Helena Buchanan, Ethel Harrell, Myrtle Garland, Pansy Tipton, and Edna Masters.
Survivors include four sons; Jim Gouge and wife Kay, Mike Gouge, Ron Gouge and wife Gail, Rick Gouge and wife Chrissy, all of Johnson City, TN. Three daughters; Phyllis Garland and husband Sam of Bakersville, NC, Connie Garland and husband Lonnie, and Sally Parker and husband Jim, both of Jonesborough, TN. Daughter in Law, Frances Gouge of Jonesborough, TN; seventeen grandchildren and thirty two great-grandchildren; two sisters Mary Parker of Gray, TN and Lois Street of Bakersville, NC. Bradley was a treasure and will be dearly missed.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 1, 2018 at 7:30PM in Morris - Baker Funeral Home (2001 Oakland Avenue, Johnson City, TN 37601), with Kevin Laws and Garland Honeycutt officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will be Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 11:00AM at Roselawn Memory Gardens (3033 S Roan Street, Johnson City, TN 37601.
