- Nola June Yelton Hyder, 82, 527 Dru Lane, Johnson City, died Monday, June 18, 2001, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Hyder was a native of Elk Park, N.C., a former resident of Roan Mountain and had lived in Johnson City for the past 55 years. She was a daughter of the late Asbury and Pearl June Yelton and was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert Hyder, and a sister.
Mrs. Hyder was a member of University Parkway Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Carl Hyder, Johnson City, Glen Yelton, Elizabethton, and Jimmy Yelton, Johnson City; four daughters, Marrian Smith, Brenda York, Barbara Goodwin and Jewel Richardson, all of Johnson City; and two sisters, Geneva Yelton and Marcetta Ellison, both of Roan Mountain. Thirteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

HYDER -- Funeral services for Nola June Yelton Hyder, 82, 527 Dru Lane, Johnson City, who died Monday, June 18, 2001, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, from the Morris-Baker South Chapel with the Rev. Orville Stokes and Dr. Michael Oakes officiating. Interment will follow graveside services at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 21, at Washington County Memory Gardens. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 2:30 p.m. and proceed to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence and at Jim's Market and Deli, 1200 East Lakeview Drive, Johnson City.
