- Mary Louise Baker Dugger, age 91, of Butler, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013. She was born on September 5, 1921 to the late Carl V. and Lillie Snyder Baker. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John Norman Dugger, and a son, Victor Caroll Norman Dugger.
Mary was a lifelong resident of Johnson County and graduate of Watauga Academy of Butler. She was a member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Linda Sweetman of Tustin, CA; stepdaughter, Mary Carroll of Butler, TN; son, Gerald Steve Dugger of the home; several grandchildren; great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the Sugar Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Greene and Rev. Alan Koch officiating. The family received friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Music will be provided by the Sugar Grove Baptist Church Choir.
Graveside service and interment followed from the Sugar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Deacons of Sugar Grove Baptist Church and Bakers Gap Baptist Church.
