- Ruby Juanita Crigger, age 92, of Johnson City, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012, at her daughter's residence in Gray.
Mrs. Crigger was a native of Washington County. She was the daughter of the late John Onks and Carrie Wilson Onks.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert "RB" Crigger; four brothers, Buford Onks, Dee Onks, Charles Onks and Donald Onks; one sister, Hazel Onks; one grandson Barry Crigger.
Mrs. Crigger was a homemaker and attended Heritage Baptist Church and was a member of McKinley Memorial Bible Church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Sherry Toothman and her husband, Nick, of Lerna, Illinois, and Karen Kimes and her husband, James, of Gray; four sons, Robert Lee Crigger, of Johnson City, Ralph Dean Crigger, of Madison, Tn., Ronald Gene Crigger, of Johnson City, and Carlos Rex Crigger, of Flag Pond; one sister, AnnaPearl Ellis, of Jonesborough; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; several special nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Mrs. Ruby Juanita Crigger will be conducted at 8 PM Sunday, January 8, 2012, in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Rev. Lenny Smith and Rev. Mike Richards will officiate.
The graveside committal service will be conducted at 11 AM Monday in the Fairview Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Ministers, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 AM Monday to go in procession.
