- BLUFF CITY — Mrs. Mary L. Painter, age 74, Bluff City, TN, went to be with her Precious Lord and Savior Monday, August 2, 2010, at the Bristol Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Painter was a native of Unicoi County and daughter of the late Alvin & Ida Lockner Richardson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Painter was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Tommy Richardson; an infant sister, Irene Richardson; and two brothers, Claude Richardson and Fred Richardson
She was a member of Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Painter was a homemaker and had worked at Magnavox and Dunbar Pepper Plant.
Survivors include her caregiver and loving husband of 56 years, Gilbert Painter, Bluff City; daughter and son-in-law, Trena & Bill McGee, Bluff City; son and daughter-in-law, Steve & Beth Painter, Blountville; grandchildren, Amy McGee Malcolm, John Gale McGee and wife, Jennifer, and Nichole Painter; great-grandchildren, Annie Malcolm, Will Malcolm, Amelia Malcolm, John Paul Malcolm, Jackson McGee and Isaac McGee; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold & Judy Richardson, Erwin, and Don & Pam Richardson, Johnson City; sister and brother-in-law, Betty & Bernie Casey, Jonesborough; sister-in-law, Ann "Kat" Richardson
