- JOHNSON CITY - Warren G. Hardin, Jr., age 53, of Johnson City, entered his heavenly home on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Warren was born in Elizabethton, Tennessee to the late Warren G. Hardin, Sr. and Betty Jo Hodge Hardin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Andy Byrd Hardin and Ora Hardin; his maternal grandparents, Ivan C. Hodge and Rohda Mae "Granny" Hodge; his aunts, Charlotte Hodge Morris and Johnnie Suzie Prosser; and his uncle, Joel Hodge.
Warren was a member of Hunter First Baptist Church in the Stoney Creek Community of Elizabethton. Warren was a very special young man who was known for his beautiful smile, contagious laughter and a great sense of humor. He was a very loving and caring individual who enjoyed watching TV, DVD's and especially loved eating his favorite foods being Dairy Queen, I Hop and McDonald's.
Those left to cherish Warren's precious memories include his cousin, Jacklyn Morris (Kevin Lipford), of Elizabethton; a sister, Carole Younce (Gene) of Elizabethton; a brother, Barry "Corky" Brownlee, of Knoxville; two uncles, Ronnie Hodge, of Elizabethton and Jerry Hodge, of Bristol, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to celebrate the life of Warren G. Hardin, Jr. will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 22, 2018 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Pastor Steven Nauman, officiating. Music will be under the direction of James Don Trivette. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Saturday or at the residence of his cousin, Jacklyn, at other times.
The graveside service will follow in the Nave Cemetery in the Siam Community of Elizabethton. Active pallbearers will be Kevin Lipford, Gene Younce, Josh Fair and Josh Lipford. Honorary pallbearers will be all of his friends.
