  Notes	Stover Jenkins was one of the organizers of the Elizabethton Insurance Agency,the first of its kind in the county.He was First Asst. Cashier in the newly established Carter County Bank in 1906.He served in the Carter County Court for many years and was Chairman of the court in1918.He also held the office of Justice of the Peace for many years and was aciive in the First Baptist Church.He was a delegate to the Watauga Baptist Association in 1906.He died in at the age of 78.
