ROBINSON FUNERAL RITES TO BE TODAY – Physician, Magistrate Dies Saturday of Double Pneumonia.
Funeral rites for Dr. Nicholas D. Robinson, 78, practicing physician in Carter county for the past 50 years and magistrate in the county court for the past 30 years, will be held this afternoon at the Stoney Creek Baptist church, of which he was a member at 1:30 o'clock.
Dr. Robinson died Saturday morning at the Shoun hospital of double pneumonia. He had been seriously ill for the past two days.

Special Election
Death of Dr. Robinson will necessitate a special election in the tenth
Civil district for his successor as a member of the Carter county court.
Election commission has not had time to determine the date as yet.

addition to serving as a physician, Dr. Robinson took an active part in politics in Carter county, having served as representative to the state legislature from the district for ten years. He was a member of the Carter county court when his life ended.
He was educated at the university of Tennessee, graduating in 1909 and has practiced medicine in Carter and adjoining counties ever since.
Dr. Robinson is survived by his wife and four children, Dr. James D. Robinson, Butler, Mrs. Lillie Pleasant, Doeville, Mrs. Zella Rambo, Johnson City and Jo An[sic] Peters Robinson.
Death of Dr. Robinson, who was prominent and well known throughout the county, came as a district shock to his many friends.
Pallbearers for the funeral will be Dudley Grindstaff, Fayne Grindstaff, Herman Grindstaff, Nick Nidiffer, Paul Peters, Conley Peters. Honorary pallbearers will be fellow physicians of the county, Drs. J. B. Shoun, E. L. Caudill, Joe Bowers, A. R. Collins, Paul E. Williams, Owen Agee, W. G. Frost, R. A. Range, Drs. Rogers, Brading, West, Hawkins and K.P. Banks, Harry Burgis, S. E. Davis.
Flower girls will be Eliza Range, Nina Estep, Lena Buckles, Kate Buckles, Elma Peters, Genieve Range, Gay Fletcher, Lelia Richardson, Bessie White, Lala Peters, Anna Lewis, Mona Cole, Daisy Buckles, Marie Hyder, Mamie Davis, June Peters, Nelia Colbaugh, Edna Grindstaff, Lena Morris, Helen Sheffield, Zola Grindstaff, Norma Culbert, Lula Sheffield.
The Masonic Lodge will be in charge at the cemetery. He was also affiliated with the Junior Order and Daughters of America.
Services at the church will be conducted by the Reverend Paul Roberts, Johnson City, Rev. Authur Roberts, Carter, Reverend Kilgore, Bristol, Reverend Elkins, Carter, and Reverend Brown, Bowers Chattanooga. Interment will be in the family cemetery.
