- Kenneth W. "Jack" Courtner, age 62, of 357 Atwood Street, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away Saturday August 18,2018 at the Johnson County Community Hospital, Mountain City, TN. Jack was preceded in death by his parents Ralph Smith and Kate Fritts Courtner.
Those left to cherish Jack's memory are his loving wife, Vicky of the home, his daughter Marie Oates (Mike), 4 sons James Courtner (Angel), Donnie Courtner (Stephanie), Tommy Courtner (Amanda), and Kenneth Courtner Jr. all of Mountain City, TN, 2 brothers Isaac and Marvin Courtner of Butler, TN, 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephew, special friends Eddie Dickens and the Charles Osborne family, and his loving dog and constant companion Lady.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Dickens, Clarence Courtner, Bobby Courtner, Edie Courtner, and Howard Courtner with honorary pallbearers being the men from Rocksprings Church of Christ.
The family will receive friends at the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, from 5pm – 7pm. Services will be conducted by Rev. Shannon Courtner on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 10:30am in the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel with graveside services to follow at Rocksprings Baptist Church Cemetery in Butler, TN.
