- She was the daughter of the late Elijah and Ellen Eggers Peters. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Buster Lipford, in 1953, and by nine brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Edens had lived most of her life in Elizabethton. She was retired from Pharmacil-Baxter Corporation in Johnson City and was presently employed as a Food Sampler at Food City. She was a member of West Side Christian Church and the Women's Fellowship Sunday School Class where she had served as president for several years.
Funeral services were conducted at 8 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2002 at Memorial Funeral Chapel.
Graveside services and interment were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at Happy Valley Memorial Park.
