- Lloyd M. Dugger, 62, 168 Buntontown Road, Butler, died Thursday, May 27, 1999, at Johnson City Medical Center Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Dugger was a native of Carter County and the son of the late Arthur and Blanche Finney Dugger. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Earl, Ray, Lee and Ed Dugger.
Mr. Dugger was a member of Stout Hill Church of Christ and a retired employee of Summers-Taylor, Inc. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Irick Dugger, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Ricky Guy, Elk Park, N.C., and Lori and Kenneth Lowe, Mountain City; three grandchildren, Rebecca and Jonathan Guy, both of Elk Park, N.C., and Matthew Hicks, Mountain City; three sisters, Louella Jones, Adamsville, Betty Jo Montgomery, Hampton, and Peggy Brown, Kingsport; and two brothers, Clyde Dugger, Elizabethton, and Homer Dugger, Johnson City. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
DUGGER -- Funeral services for Lloyd M. Dugger, 62, 168 Buntontown Road, Butler, who died Thursday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with Mr. David Irick, minister, officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Whitehead Cemetery, Butler. Active pallbearers will be Raymond Campbell, Mike Duffield, Mike Potter, Mike Nave, Jim Andrews and Mike Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Stout Hill Church of Christ, fellow employees of Summers-Taylor, Inc., Leroy Morrison, Clay Swift, Jack Campbell, Harmon Harden, Bud Potter, Shelton Dugger and Bud Jones. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 1:55 p.m. Sunday for the graveside service.
